PETER FETTICH: RISPECT THE BOUL

Autonomni kulturni centar kroz program galerija Siva poziva vas na otvaranje izložbe “RISPECT THE BOUL” umjetnika Petera Fetticha. Otvorenje izložbe predviđeno je za četvrtak 10. lipnja 2021. od 20.00 sati u galeriji Siva, Pierottijeva 11 (Medika). Izložba je otvorena do 15. lipnja, svaki dan, osim nedjelje od 17.00 – 20.00. sati.
The Rispect the Boul photography project illuminates the specific environments of individuals, connected by a desire and passion to build common spaces of freedom. Fettich’s black-and-white analog photographs emphasise the experience of a skateboard (sub) culture, of which he is a part. They do not show us the view of an outside observer of the scene, but of an active participant. His creative process is transferred from the areas of relentless concrete into the shelter of a photographic darkroom. There, the spontaneous captures of moments is thoughtfully materialised onto photographic paper in the form of images that urge us to rethink what is really important in society.

Peter Fettich (1979, Ljubljana) has been involved in photography since 1998. He is currently completing his undergraduate studies in photography at the Higher school of Applied Sciences (VIST) in Ljubljana. He is the co-founder of the Kela group photography space, where he works mainly in the darkroom. He has presented his works in several solo and group exhibitions in Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia and Germany. In September 2019, he self-published his first photo book, Rispect the Boul, featuring a selection of photos taken between 2013 and 2018 showing three different places and a society created around DIY skateboarding culture.
