FESTIVAL ALTERNATIVNOG KAZALIŠNOG IZRIČAJA, ZAGREB

ŠTO JE FAKI?
FAKI (Festival Alternativnog Kazališnog Izričaja) neprofitan je kazališni festival s naglaskom na subverzivne kazališne marginalce. Organizira ga već 14 godina Attack!, nekad Autonomna tvornica kulture, danas Autonomni kulturni centar.

TKO SU SUBVERZIVNI KAZALIŠNI MARGINALCI?
Grupe i pojedinci koji prakticiraju kazališni izričaj, ali ih je nemoguće svrstati u postojeći pravac, kazališnu kuću, ili pokret, ili u bilo koji sustav binarnih opozicija. Sadržajna poveznica je subverzija koja šokira, upozorava, ili naprosto komentira dominantnu kulturu kazališnim i srodnim jezicima.

FAKI JE NEPROFITAN, ŠTO TO ZNAČI?
Svi kazališni programi su besplatni, festival ne ostvaruje profit i svi prihodi namijenjeni su ispunjavanju financijskog plana koji je u naprijed definiran. FAKI ovisi o donacijama i raznim oblicima pokroviteljstva. Organizacija je otvorena za sponzorske pregovore, ali s naglaskom na neprofitni karakter festivala koji je nespojiv s uvriježenim obicima oglašavanja velikih sponzora. FAKI ne honorira izvođače.

FAKI OTKRIVA ALTERNATIVU KAZALIŠTU KAKVO POZNAMO
Povezivanjem različitih marginalnih/off skupina nastaje razmjena ideja i stilova. Za vrijeme festivala, grupe i pojedinci razvijaju svoj izričaj inspirirani jedni drugima. FAKI nije samo festival već je i okupljanje. Okupljanje zbog osvajanja javnog prostora i njegovog kontaminiranja alternativnim sadržajem.

O ATTACK!-U
Attack! je nestranačka, neprofitna, nevladina, volonterska udruga građana koja stvara i širi kulturnu i političku alternativu te alternativnu ekonomiju, osiguravajući prostor u javnosti svima koji se žele kreativno izraziti i sudjelovati u promjenama koje vode slobodnom društvu.

WHAT IS FAKI?
FAKI (Festival of Alternative Theatrical Expression) is a non-profit theater festival that supports subversive and marginal theater projects. The festival is organized by the Autonomous Cultural Center ATTACK! (formerly Autonomous Culture Factory). This is the 14th year FAKI is taking place.

WHAT ARE SUBVERSIVE AND MARGINAL THEATER PROJECTS?
Any groups or individuals that practice some form of theater but are impossible to fit existing streams, directions or movements. What connects these is subversion: it can shock, warn or simply comment on the dominant culture using the language of theater.

FAKI IS NON-PROFIT, WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
All theatre programs are free. The festival does not make profit. All income is used to cover the expenses according to the yearly financial plan. FAKI is funded through donations and sponsorships. FAKI is open to all sponsors, but its non-profit character does not favor the advertising of very big sponsors. FAKI does not provide fees for performers.

FAKI IS LOOKING FOR AN ALTERNATIVE TO THE THEATER WE KNOW
When different marginal groups get together, ideas and styles are mixed and exchanged. During the festival, groups and individuals transform through mutual inspiration. FAKI is not only a festival, it’s a gathering: a gathering for the occupation of public space and its contamination by alternative expression.

ATTACK! is a non-partisan, non-profit, non-governmental, voluntary citizens’ association that creates and spreads alternative culture, politics and economy. Tijelo:Utopija Radionica promišlja relacijsku poziciju naših tijela spram koncepta utopije. Utopija u ovom pogledu je prikazana kao učeni proces nadilaženja fizičkih granica tijela, bez zanemarivanja sociološkog aspekta te transformacije, tj. transgresije. Što jest i što nije, definiramo putem novih metoda razumjevanja sebe  kroz transformiranje pokreta tijela i uma.

Prije nego uplovimo u FAK-ijev svijet modernih izvedbenih umjetnosti, prisjetimo se zajedno kako je započinjala moderna muzika davnih 60-tih, kad je rock nastajao,
za Beatlesima vrištale cure, Stonesi se kreveljili, djeca preko bare nosila cvijeće u kosi i brijala na mir, a kod nas se budili Vokalno Instrumentalni Sastavi.
Uz jedne od njih, bosanske rokere starije generacije, Extra 2000, koji ne prestaju svirati još od tih dana, zaplešimo uz zvukove iz kojih je sve kasnije niknulo.

Before we enter FAKI’s world of modern performing arts let us remember and never forget how did it all start with the modern music back in the 60’s, when the beatles caused global euphoria, the stones yelled and made mug faces, when the american youth fought with flowers in their hair for global peace and love and when the people here started getting all that atmosphere mainly through many vocal-instrumental groups – so called VIS.
Let’s dance together with one of the original ones from that time, who never stopped playing, rock band from bosnia Extra 2000 to the sounds that were the main ground for all later music.
Dress code – boho pants, vivid psychedelic colours, platform shoes, boots, leather/ethno vests, lennon eyeglasses, hippy hair (get a wig:), + …..add something.

Naglasak radionice je na upoznavanju vlastitog tijela i pokreta, otkrivanju mišića i dimenzija našeg tijela kojih nismo svjesni u svakodnevnom životu te proučavanju svog odnosa prema prostoru i ljudima u našoj okolini.

The emphasis of this class is on getting to know your own body and movement, discovering muscles and dimensions of our body of which we aren’t aware of in our daily life and exploring our relation towards space and people in our surroundings.

BOOLOLOOLA
Koristeći različite elemente performansa, fizičkog i vizualnog kazališta, kao i klauniranja, mimike i plesa, Boololoola uranja u svijet progresije stranih i  nadrealističnih slika-snova koje otkrivaju potrebu čovjekove duše za unutarnjim mirom i harmonijom, pritom istražujući različite razine emocionalne osjetljivosti.
Apsurdnost svakodnevnog života, odnosa i prostora između, te razlike između iracionalnih i racionalnih misli i djelovanja razrađeno je kroz princip odnosa dvoje kontraverznih likova iz izgubljenih svjetova koji predstavljaju ljudski svakodnevni život: čovjek u odjelu tipka hipnotičke rečenice, žena na rubu histeričnog smjeha; dva muškarca plaću od ljubavi, ritualno zaplitanje tijela, nevina igra djece, prostor pun svjetlosti!

By using different elements of performance, physical and visual theatre, clowning, mime, and dance, Boololoola delves into the world of a series of strange and surrealistic dream pictures which expose the search of the human soul for inner peace and harmony, exploring different levels of emotional tension.
Absurdity of everyday actions, relationships, and the space in between, the difference between irrational and rational thoughts and actions, the mind set of what is tangible and what is not is explored through the principle of two controversial characters from dissolving worlds which represent the human in everyday life: a man in a suit typing hypnotic sentences, a woman balancing on hysterical laughter, two men crying for love, a ritualistic tangling of bodies, the innocent playing of children, a room full of light.

Butohpia Collective je eksirementalni izvedbeni kolektiv iz Barcelone. Članovi kolektiva potječu iz različitih disciplina unutar izvedbenog žanra (cirkus, kazalište, Butoh ples), stoga finalni produkt je inspiriran interdisciplinarnim tumačenjima jedne teme—Mutacije. Tema je protkana istraživanjem sličnosti između prirode performansa i ljudske naravi, kroz koju kolektiv promišlja, preispituje i zaključuje, te predstavlja svoje shvaćanje performativnog jezika s obzirom na mutacije unutar našeg okruženja.

Butohpia Collective
is an experimental collective of performing artists based in Barcelona. The members of the collective originate from different disciplines within the performing genre (circus, theatre, and Butoh dance), hence the final product is inspired by the interdisciplinary takes on one subject: Mutations. The theme is embedded in the exploration of the similarities between the nature of performance and the human nature, through which the collective tries to research, analyze, and present the understanding of the language of performance regarding the ongoing mutations within our surroundings.

Glazba i ples sastavni su dio ljudske kulture od samih početaka. Njihova međusobna povezanost je fascinantna i nepobitna. Kako zvuk i ritam potiču naše tijelo na reakciju, tako je i ples u tišini zapravo odgovor na našu unutarnju glazbu koju gledatelj žudi čuti.
Radionica se bavi ispitivanjem spomenute povezanosti te tjelesnim prikazom glazbe i elemenata koji sudjeluju u njenom stvaranju.
Polaznici se mole da ponesu kuhače, vilice, noževe, tave ili neki glazbeni instrument.

MUSIC AND MOVEMENT
Music and dancing are an integral part of human culture from its very beginning. Their mutual connection is fascinating and undisputable. As rhythm and sound provoke our body to react, thus is dancing in silence actually a response to the dancer’s inner music which the spectator yearns to hear.
This workshop is about questioning the connection mentioned above and the display of music and elements that produce it with the use of our body.

Uz dužno poštovanje iznimkama, muško-ženski odnosi su najčešća tema
brojnih drama, predstava, filmova…
Proglašavan ženomrscem, alkoholičarom, ženskarošom u jednu ruku, te
iskusnim, talentiranim i beskompromisno iskrenim u drugu, Charles Bukowski je u tom smislu
jedna od istovremeno najhvaljenijih i najosporavanijih ličnosti.
Sastavljena od dijelova njegovih osam kratkih priča iz različitih
zbirki, predstava “Dva žigola” naš je pokušaj da zaronimo u mutne vode
muško-ženskih odnosa bez pretencioznosti kojom bi tražili odgovore na
pitanja koja nas muče od zore čovječanstva naovamo niti sa ambicijom
da pomirimo ove dvije “zaraćene” strane.
Naši ciljevi znatno su skromniji: želimo samo otkriti smisao života te
naša skromna otkrića podijeliti sa publikom!

With all due respect to exceptions, the male/female relationship is the most prevalent theme or a plot to numerous dramas, theatre plays, movies…. Labeled as a misogynistic, alcoholic womanizer on one hand, and an experienced, talented, uncompromising genius on the other, Charles Bukowski is one of the most criticized and praised writers. Composed of eight short stories from various collections, the play ｫTwo Gigolo’sｻ, represents a dive into the shady waters of male/female relationships, without pretension to seek for answers to a timeless questions of humanity, nor with the ambition to make peace among the two. We are much more humble than that; discover the meaning of life, and share it with the audience!

Ubrzan životni ritam, hiperprodukcija, stres, izgubljenost u moru informacija i mogućnosti dovodi do pitanja poput: „Što je napredak?“, „Čemu težiti?“, „Koje su prave vrijednosti?“ , „Kako izabrati?“, „Koji je optimalan tempo mog života?“. „Trebam predah, trebam disati.“
Koristeći tijelo kao odraz informacijsko-komunikacijskih tehnoloških funkcija pokušat ćemo prikazati duh našeg doba.

That has changed our lives significantly. Fast living, hyperproduction, stress, being lost between tonness of information and possibilities brings us to the questions such as „What is progress?“, „Towards what to aspire?“, „What are the real values?“, „How to choose?“, „Which is the optimal pace of my life?“. „I need a break, I need to breath“.
