The Womcom – Women Power in Comics project began in February 2023 and brought together partners from Greece (PostScriptum Ltd), Hungary (Bakelit Multi Art Center), Slovenia (Kino Šiška), Croatia (AKC Attack), Montenegro (Association of Comic Artists of Montenegro), and Serbia, where the Student Cultural Centre Novi Sad serves as the project lead.

The project’s goal is to empower female comic artists and promote equality in terms of pay, visibility, and representation. The project is co-funded by the European Commission through the Creative Europe program, the Office for Cooperation with NGOs of the Government of the Republic of Croatia, the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia, and the City of Zagreb – City Office for Culture, Intercity and International Cooperation, and Civil Society.

The results were presented in December 2024 in Podgorica, Zagreb, Ljubljana, Budapest, Athens and Novi Sad.
