Autonomous Cultural Centre Attack is a non-profit, non-governmental citizens' association active in non-institutional culture and youth work. The association operates according to D.I.Y. principles, creating and sharing cultural, political, and economic alternatives, while providing a public space for anyone seeking to create and act beyond the mainstream. It actively participates in local change initiatives and works toward a freer society.

Since 1997, ACC Attack has supported the independent cultural scene by organizing interdependent projects at the local, national, and international levels, including art festivals, alternative music events, film and theater productions, visual arts and gallery programs, as well as educational and creative programs for children, students, and youth.

Since 2009, ACC Attack has coordinated ACC Medika—a social and cultural community center dedicated to civil society, subversive arts, activist education, and knowledge exchange. As a key stakeholder in Zagreb’s independent cultural scene, ACC Attack promotes alternative art forms and encourages socially engaged cultural projects.

The association also implements programs for marginalized groups, including refugees, migrants, seniors, and local community projects aimed at cultural decentralization, such as cultural programs on the city's outskirts or islands. ACC Attack strongly believes that culture should be accessible to everyone.

The programs are divided into several areas:

Music programs - a series of music events take place at club Attack, primarily focused on subcultural and underground genres, including punk, hardcore, dub, grime, trance, trap, techno, hip-hop, metal, indie, and noise. These programs are organized both independently and in collaboration with various music collectives and organizations in Zagreb. The music program features international performers, emerging local musicians, concerts, electronic music events, listening sessions, and discursive programs.

Visual arts program includes exhibitions, artist talks, presentations, workshops, and residencies through Galerija Siva and the Ohoho Festival of Independent & DIY Comics and Street Art. Galerija Siva is open to contemporary artists, subcultural themes, street art, new media, and artistic experimentation. It provides residency opportunities, exhibitions, and discussions with artists. Ohoho Festival is a platform for exhibiting, discussing, and producing underground comics and street art. It focuses on young artists working in independent posters, graphics, and illustrations while fostering an exchange between emerging and established creators.

Performance programs that include live performances, artist residencies, and open mic nights, realized through the FAKI Festival and SubScena for Theater, Performing Arts, and Other Hybrids. FAKI Festival presents experimental, politically engaged, and avant-garde works, affirming new models of artistic production. SubScena serves as an international platform connecting avant-garde artists and collectives, offering residencies, performances, and artistic research opportunities. The year-round performance program of SubScena is based on local, regional and international productions, co-productions, guest appearances and residencies by artists and artistic groups.

Interdisciplinary programs integrate educational workshops, sustainability education, performances for children, public engagement activities, and intercultural dialogue. They are carried out through projects such as: Attackova hibridna zajednica, Program AKC, TONiK, Veliki odmor, Program filmskog studija, Attackova tvornica.

Following the organization's mission, these programs foster a participatory social-cultural center with inclusive activities, including workshops, performances, music events, and public presentations. Some of these youth programs are also implemented in Zagreb’s elementary and high schools.

We organize over 100 music events per year, featuring local, regional, and international musicians, DJs, and performers from diverse genres. Most of these events are produced in-house, but we also collaborate with local music collectives and promoters. Throughout the year, we maintain ongoing partnerships with 20–25 music collectives and promoters, engaging more than 600 musicians.

ACC Attack  provides space and resources for artists-in-residence, supporting emerging and independent creators in music, visual arts, and performing arts. On average, 35–45 artists participate in our artist-in-residence program each year, across 15–20 different projects. The Subscena program for performing arts and interdisciplinary projects produces 6–10 performances, plays, or works-in-progress as a result of these residencies.

The Siva Gallery hosts 22 exhibitions annually, featuring 40–50 visual artists. Our theater festival, FAKI, and the comics and street art festival, Ohoho, welcome over 70 performing, visual, graffiti, and street artists.

Our educational programs cover a range of topics, including screen printing, sound production, lighting design, graffiti, theater, sustainable development, DIY techniques, intercultural dialogue, visual arts, and music. We organize over 60 workshops annually for youth, children, seniors, and local communities, in collaboration with elementary and high schools, kindergartens, and community libraries.

Additionally, our venue serves as a rehearsal space for independent performance and contemporary circus collectives, a production hub for independent visual artists, a workspace for film academy students, and a meeting place for graffiti collectives organizing graffiti jams. Student associations and activist grassroots organizations/collectives use our infrastructure for meetings, benefit or discursive programs. We collaborate with over 25 different independent collectives and associations yearly.

Over the years, we have collaborated with numerous organizations from the Balkan region, including the Subart Association and Gledališće dela from Slovenia, Blatart from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and CK13 from Serbia.

Recently, we have been involved in several international projects, some of which concluded in 2024, while others are still in progress. The Echo Curve visual arts project, supporting emerging artists from Serbia, North Macedonia, and Croatia, was realized in partnership with Projekat EXP from Serbia and the Press to Exit Association from North Macedonia in 2024. The Women Power in Comics project was completed in January 2025 and was implemented in partnership with the Student Cultural Centre Novi Sad (Serbia), Bakelit Multi Art Centre (Hungary), Post Scriptum (Greece), and Kino Šiška (Slovenia). The Chain of Music (Venues) Pluralism, which began in 2024,  was completed and ended in May 2025, project in collaboration with our partner organization CK13 from Serbia.
