The African Society in Croatia (DAH) acts with a mission of providing their members knowledge on the possibilities and practices of their rights, participation opportunities and active involvement in the Croatian society. DAH advocates for social inclusion of African groups and individuals finding their home in Croatia, with an aim to counterweight isolation, social exclusivity and racism. AKC and DAH have been collaborating since DAH’s informal African refugee collective phase, and the collaboration continuously strengthens.
The diverse activities in AKC’s cultural venue aim to propagate easier asylum seekers’ integration and to sensitize the general public on the troubles of a new social environment.
