Alt-Sex 異.性 - 江峰 Jiang Feng (TWN) - 15’江峰 Jiang Feng (TWN) – ‘Alt-Sex 異.性’ is “a performance work created out of the somatic practice “Sex and Love”, intended to help people rethink sex and elicit sexual/erotic energy, sensual attention, and love affects through movements and body awareness. The practice and the performance work explore the deconstruction of the narrow idea of sex, codified bodies, and repertoires of sex. Sex is not a performance of prowess or position-changing but a dialogue and a way of living and experiencing.”

It allows devices connected to WIFI to dialogue (in real time) like a wise and their pupil. Other devices produce the sound atmosphere that evolves during the performance: changes of environments, moods (suspense, calm, joy, nostalgia, etc.). The composition plays with the poetic potentialities generated by the random reading of sentences and words. It approaches the notion of digital spirituality, sharing, doing together (in concert) between humans and digital entities. "

The only condition is to be present online at same time with performer. Performer will invite them in her intimacy and real/authentic moment (she is performing and not performing at the same time) and they can choose how much they will get involved with performer inside of their date ( using video, voice, real names, etc). They can choose to stop date at any time and need to be open for whatever expression of her intimacy performer will use but do have total freedom to react on it, how they feel. Date/s will last up to 20 minutes max.”

Dogovori se datum i sat i tada se osoba nađe sa autoricom na online sastanku. Jedini uvjet koji zainteresirana osoba treba ispuniti je da bude prisutna/an u dogovoreno vrijeme online na platformi gdje su se dogovorili i uđe u iskustvo. Autorica će otvoriti vrata svoje intime i biti autentična glumeći i ne glumeći istovremeno. Nivo interakcije je slobodan izbor, mogu se ali i ne trebaju koristiti video i audio opcije ili prave informacije, ali se treba biti otvoren prema slobodi izričaja autoričine intimnosti. Out of resonance with The little Prince by Saint-Exupéry, "almost touching the stars" (“Toutes les étoiles sont des puits”) is a delicate performance, a ritual, an invitation to feel some of the invisible parts, as much discreet and subtle as essential. Beyond our wounds, beyond the forces trying to reduce the possibilities of our existences, we would like to celebrate magic, the mysteries of life, when it’s urging us to perceive differently.

Through three different generational periods, we observe three teenage girls moving through parkour, physical theater and acrobatics in the same space - on a climber that is reminiscent of children's climbers in the park. Girls have the same problems of growing up, they just deal with them in different ways, depending on the period in which they grow up (80s, 90s or 00s). The play includes acting, physical theater, dance, parkour, acrobatics and thus this play is unique for all ages.”

Likewise, a doll is different to a human: very often the human's other, braver self. The doll is not just an image of someone. By doing so, can you make him yours and force him to do whatever you want? Maybe in the end you will find yourself addicted to the person you believed to be yours. You may even realize that you are dependent on those you thought you tamed.”...de profundis - Marco Nektan (SRB) - 30’Marco Nektan (SRB) – ‘...de profundis’ “stems from the universal need to get out of this global situation, which is reminiscent of a dark, cold and damp tunnel of an abyss, and there is still no way out. I find the greatest inspiration in the story of the ancient goddess Persephone, who is forcibly abducted by her mother, then taken to the depths of Tartarus, where against her will she marries the lord of the underworld. In the end, a compromise is found to spend 6 months on earth with his mother, 6 months in the underworld. That agreement was created between Hades and Demeter – but no one asked Persephone.”
This year, Faki Festival continues its commitment to critical reflection, theatre discourse, and journalism in independent performing arts. We are pleased to introduce our two festival critics:
Dijana Karanović (RUS/SRB)
Dijana Karanović is a researcher, writer, and interdisciplinary artist from Serbia, based in St. Petersburg, Russia. She graduated Dramaturgy from Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, Russian State Institute of Performing Arts (MA), and Multimedia Technologies from ITMO (MA). Her main interests are documentary and immersive theatre forms. She is fascinated by the idea of togetherness and contemporary ritual in art and her work is focused on researching topics like personal identity, violence, and social injustice. The thing that inspires her the most is the absurd aspect of everyday life. She is an author of scenarios, theatre plays, articles, and performances.
Liam Rees (GER/UK)
Liam Rees is a theatre-maker, dramaturg, and theatre critic working between the UK, Belgium, and Germany. His interests are multilingual and intercultural with a focus on the (im)possibility of translation. He investigates the form and shape of the stories we tell ourselves with the intent to better understand and deconstruct the narratives that create the status quo. He is excited by work that can’t be put into words and during FAKI Festival he hopes to bridge the gap between theatre and dance, perhaps finding a common creative language.
The festival critics will join Faki Artistic Director Richard Pettifer (AUS/GER) for the online performances, each night from 20.30 CEST via the Faki 24 Livestream.
